Officer Reece is a character in Season Four of the Showtime series DEXTER.
He allows Dexter Morgan to search for Debra Morgan’s supposedly missing ring.
Summary[]
Dexter has stolen Frank Lundy's audio tapes from The Bluewater Hotel but they contain no physical description of the Trinity Killer. Since Lundy was very methodical, he must have commented on Trinity's appearance. Dexter suspects there is another tape in Lundy’s recorder that has been logged into evidence.
Under the pretense of Debra losing a ring when she was shot, Dexter meets with Officer Reece in the evidence room.
Officer: “That's everything collected from the parking lot and the hotel rooms back there on the right.”
Dexter: [Sighs] “Thanks for doing this. My father gave Deb the ring, And it means the world to her.”
Officer: “I checked the inventories. Masuka never logged it in.”
Dexter: “Yeah, Deb doesn't remember if she was wearing it or not. The shooting has her pretty messed up. If my coming down here to double check helps ease her mind, so be it, right?”
Officer: “Yep.”
Dexter: [purposely breaking his glove] “Ah, fuck. Damn it.”
Officer: “You Morgans and that mouth.”
Dexter: “Do you mind?"
Officer: “Oh, yeah. Don't sweat it. There's plenty more where those come from.”
Dexter: “Thanks.”
With Officer Reece out of the room, Dexter quickly locates Lundy’s tape recorder, takes out the tape, and replaces it with another one. The officer soon returns with a pair of gloves.
Officer: “Here you go.”
Dexter: [pretending to receive a text] “Guess who just found her ring. Sorry for the trouble. Thanks a lot, though.”
Officer: “No problem.”
