I liked Cody at first...he was likable and innocent, but turn into a very annoying character...Astor was no prize either (running away and getting drunk...smoking grass)...this could be attributed to unresolved anger...against Paul, their father, a drug addict and abuser...their mother, for dying...their grandmother, Gail, a mean spirited creep...Dexter...
Cody would have been more interesting if he had developed like he did in the books ("Cody had a dark passenger")...If there had been a ninth season he might have a serial killer or an arrogant bastard like Dokes...either way Dexter would have forced to kill him.
I have a love hate relationship with Maria. I like the fact that she is proud of her heritage but at the same if she wants to survive at all as a cop, regardless of rank, she can not let ethnic pride cloud her vision. Unfortunately, she let her quest for power cloud stay in the way of her vision of being an example to the Latin Community.
Just finished reading your page on The Cabin in the Everglades...excellent! Going through the episodes listed there were details I had forgotten...but no one could forget the cabin being blown sky high (along with Doakes) by Lila West (Elvira's poor relation), making Dexter's decision to kill Lila academic.
Just finshed your stuff on Tony Tucci, Mrs. Tucci. I had forgotten about Gina Hecht. I remember her from Night Shift (1982). She played Henry Winkler's girl friend, Charlotte Koogle(I could not stand her character). She is often underrated.
Good write up on Tony Tucci!
That's a wise decision. I made the same one when I moved here almost 20 years ago. :) Due to their warm water, all Florida lakes contain alligators, snakes, and even deadly bacteria. At least, you have the safer (but colder) New York lakes to swim in. :)
Hey, I've been thinking about expanding the infobox so we can put the crew and perhaps cast info in there. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the current infoboxes to modify them much. They are not coded in wikiscript, but in a language I don't know. I can add a few lines to them, but adding it all would make it look clustered and that's what I don't know how to fix.
However, I do know how to make a new infobox in wiki. You can see one at Template:Episodes. (Scroll down to see how it looks on a page.) I'm not sure it looks quite as good as our current infobox, but it holds more info and organizes it better.
Your infobox looks great! Another of your ideas that I’m onboard with. How should I handle the differences between seasons? For instance, Season Three has fields for Consulting Producer, Staff Writer, and Special Guest Star, which Season Two didn’t account for. Can these new fields be added to the infobox in source code?
When you have the time, I will need two to three new fields.
Season Five now has a field for "Consultant" in addition to "Consulting Producer." Not sure what the difference is. It also has "Special Appearance" for Julie Benz.
So far, there have been separate credits for "Editor" and "Story Editor." I have entered both in the "Story Editor" field, since there isn't one for just 'Editor." If you want to create this field, I will reenter the info. I will leave this to your judgment.
Hey there! I have noticed around a few other Wikis that videos are popping up on pages now giving a summary of who a character is and at the end it talks about "for more info visit the <insert wiki name here> Wiki".
Very intriguing...I don't know if there's particular people they hire for this or individual members of the staff. It usually contains scenes from whatever movie/show is going on. For an example of this, check out the article for IT on Stephen King Wiki.
I think I'm going to try and focus on Method. Find a good subtitled version and start creating articles for that series. I wrote a paper just now in regards to Dexter and had some time to watch through episodes again. It's near impossible to not get hooked when you start one, even though I was on a time constriction.
I just received a bunch of emails about the old admins having their rights removed due to inactivity and I see that you have made quite a few contributions to the Wiki. Jack (Le Rusecue) and myself went our separate ways here from the Wiki following the completion of the TV series in 2013. We stuck around to work on the site for a little bit but unfortunately our interests led us elsewhere.
The site needs a dedicated administrator by all means and I would recommend perhaps applying for the position of you have not already. During the summer break after Season Four I heavily invested on improving this site and created probably 500 character/episode/etc articles in that time to keep the database up to date. I am hoping someone else can pick that up and really "kill it" here at the Wiki.
I always get notifications and honestly I wouldn't mind having someone new to chat about the series with so if you ever want to talk or heck need help I can jump back on here some time.
Hi TVthePunisher! I have seen so much of your wonderful work on the Dexter site. I hope that you and the other admins don't lose your rights. Please keep editing! The site wouldn't be what it is without your hard word and dedication. I love editing here and I appreciate your offer of help. I am thinking of applying for admin because there are a lot of simple tasks that I am not able to do. Keep in touch! Linda
Thank you Linda it is amazing to see your enthusiasm at work here! I let the current Admin know but if there is ever any projects you need assistance on or would like to suggest my way, I'm more than open to hear about them. It has been awhile since I've edited and I really don't know where to begin. The site was such a big part of my day to day life for some time so I knew what needed work and what didn't but now my gosh...it has been far too long.
I hope to work with you here in the future and maybe get to discussing some Dexter related content with you =) Jack (Le Rusecue) became one of my best friends through this website and he introduced me to so many series after. I might have to compete with you on the record for watching this series lol I can't tell you how many times I watched episodes in a row to get details and just enjoy it. I kid you not there were times when I would be watching an episode to fill in information for a character and I'd just get lost in the moment and finish the episode just because of how much I enjoyed the series.
Alright, keep me updated on anything that needs work and I'll do my best!
I'll do my best to answer where I can. A concern? Most certainly want to hear about that first. I'm preoccupied at the moment tonight if you want to do a live chat we can have one tomorrow in the afternoon. Additionally I don't mind you voicing your concerns and questions on my wall if needed.
No problem and I have free time tomorrow afternoon. I will ask questions on your wall if you are okay with it. But I would rather talk about the concern privately. It will only take a few minutes. It's not an "emergency" so if you get busy, we can do it another time.
Seems I missed my opportunity. I was terribly exhausted last night and went to sleep so I never got to check. I used the Live Chat weekly with viewers when the episodes were airing, we would discuss the events live and talk about it all after the fact. I am open to it again at least as a way to catch me live to provide that link again so we can talk elsewhere.
I don't want to ask you to drop the link again on here. I work days from 8 to 5 (CST) and tonight is a class after that fact. After that I will ensure I am able to get on here and finally get this battened down!
Hi. My FB link is still there, at the top of my page. I will leave it for there for a few days. It's more important for you to tend to your work and classes...and sleep! I'm on the Wiki sporadically every day (Eastern time.) We'll connect at some point.
Alright I'm out of class and decided to pop into the Live Chat here on the wiki if you're available. I'll be there all night. I would use FB but I'm limiting myself on it for the most part. I think using the Live Chat to touch base would be pleasant enough in the mean time.
