Meghan Dowd is a character in Season One of the Showtime's series DEXTER.
Described as a "powerful woman," she was the CEO of Dowd Industries.
Summary[]
Meghan is found dead, having shot herself in 2006. Dexter Morgan connects her death to that of two other women who similarly killed themselves - Carolyn Jillian and Vanessa Gayle - after finding that they all visited the same therapist, Dr. Emmett Meridian.
Dexter schedules an appointment with the Doctor using the alias, Sean Ellis. Ultimately, he discovers the truth behind the women's deaths after watching their recorded sessions. He finds that Dr. Meridian had prescribed each woman medications and when they became addicted, he abruptly withdrew them. Then, manipulating the women in their depressed states, Meridian was able to convince each woman to kill herself with a handgun.
Dexter himself has a few useful therapy sessions with Meridian before he kills him.
