She has an arrogant, contemptuous attitude. When Dexter and Rita ask her to keep Walter quiet, she mocks them.
History[]
The neighbor lives next door to Rita Bennett's House. When her significant other broke up with her, she claims that he left behind his dog, Walter. The dog is ignored and kept outside behind a fence where it barks at all hours for attention.
Summary[]
The dog's barking annoys Rita Bennett and her children, Cody and Astor, and they begin to suffer from lack of sleep.
Rita's boyfriend, Dexter Morgan, attempts to politely persuade the lady to take the dog inside. She responds rudely, stating that Walter is an "outside dog" and they should try earplugs. Next, Rita tries to convince the lady while showing more emotion about the situation. The neighbor still does not budge from her position, and is amused by Rita's behavior.
Fed up with how Walter is being treated, Rita "kidnaps" the dog, freeing it from its lonely life. She drives Walter in her convertible to a new home. She gives Walter to her co-worker, Yelina, who has two nieces. Rita tells the girls to love and care for the dog. Walter is overjoyed at receiving attention.
Back at his former home, the neighbor is enraged to find Walter missing. She angrily asks Dexter about her dog, and he merely shrugs.

- The incidents regarding the dog, Walter, take place in October 2006, as Halloween decorations are seen outside the neighbor's house.
