Ernesto Rodriguez is a character in Season One of the Showtime series DEXTER.

Summary[]
Ernesto pays the Castillos to smuggle him into Florida but before they release him, they try to extort more money out of Yelina, his fianceé. When she can't pay, Ernesto is killed and his body is thrown into the sea.
Yelina is distraught when Ernesto goes missing and confides her worries to Rita Bennett. Rita then asks Dexter Morgan to look into what happened to him.
Ernesto soon washes up on shore, frightening beach-goers. Accompanied by Rita, a grief-stricken Yelina identifies the body of her late fiancé.
Dexter discovers a pattern of similar murders and deals with the Castillos by killing them in their Auto Salvage Yard.
