History Leading up to the ShootingEdit
Both Carlos and his brother are responsible for a series of deaths in were couples are forced to make withdrawals from ATMs and then kill the couples so there are no witnesses. They then arrange the bodies with Santa Muerte artifacts as a ritual. Homicide found out they were using their stolen profits to pay for VIP service at the Mayan Club. Homicide decides to set up a sting operation to catch the Fuentes Brothers as they enter the club. They procure the help of an informant to lure them in but some poor decisions made by Maria LaGuerta result in a shooting leaving three dead.
Yasmin Aragon - A young woman who knew the Fuentes brothers (though feared them at the same time). She works as an informant for Miami PD but gets caught up in the gunfire, becoming Marco Fuentes's victim by gunshot.
One partygoer is also killed during the shootout as a result of the bullets fired by Marco Fuentes.
Carlos Fuentes - One of the shooters who is shot and killed by Debra Morgan while holding an unnamed woman hostage.
Fallout from ShootingEdit
After the Club Mayan incident, informant Yasmin Aragon and an unnamed clubber were killed by Marco Fuentes...as well as Carlos Fuentes by Debra Morgan and three more people were hurt in the process. Ultimately it became a press nightmare trying to close off this case, needing to silence the whole thing LaGuerta pinned the poor decisions she made on Debra Morgan with Cira Manzon's assistance. The result was that Debra ended up in the fileroom after being practically fired, with Cira taking her spot as detective.
Fate of Shooter(s)Edit
Of the two shooters, Carlos Fuentes was the only one to die. He faced off Debra Morgan during the Club Mayan incident, threatening to kill a young woman...but Debra shot him in the forehead (correcting a mistake she made previously where a young man had his throat slit due to her not shooting). He died instantly...while his brother is still on the run.
