Barbara Gianna is a character in DEXTER. Introduced during Season Three, Barbara works in Miami Metro Vice as an undercover cop and meets Detective-Sergeant Angel Batista when he thinks he is propositioning a prostitute. After constantly nagging at her, she finally agrees to date Angel. Their relationship progresses when she is injured while working. Although they are seen together at Rita and Dexter's wedding, they have broken up by the beginning of Season 4.

Appearance Edit

Barbara is a woman in her early to mid 30's with straight, blonde hair. She's seen wearing primarily the corporate-casual attire for a detective in Miami with long-collared jackets and dress pants, with a button up shirt. If she's undercover, her wardrobe becomes more open to reveal more skin and typically involves low-cut shirts, pantyhose and short-shorts.

PersonalityEdit

Her personality can come off as partially controlling, when first meeting Angel Batista she leads him on with a perfect undercover prostitute's attitude however upon finding out he's a cop she becomes very strict with him. Her mood however lightens when Batista shows that he's more than her initial impression and the two eventually begin seeing one another, with her flirtation being rather soft.
